Is Your Neighborhood
Healing You or Hurting You?

We verified over a million locations across America — groceries, gyms, parks, fast-food chains, corner stores — then added the air you breathe and the water you drink. Enter your ZIP to see which way your neighborhood pulls.

How This Works

For your ZIP, we count every healthy option (grocery stores, health-food shops, farmers markets, parks, gyms, and healthy fast-casual spots like CAVA or Sweetgreen) and every unhealthy option (fast food, convenience stores, dollar stores, liquor and vape shops) within walking-and-driving distance — then weight them (a full grocery store counts more than a single drive-thru; a bodega counts less than a McDonald's because it also sells real food).

Then we blend four forces that pull on your health every day, each graded against every other US ZIP: your food and retail mix (45%), your neighborhood's walkability (25%, EPA National Walkability Index), your air quality (20%, CDC fine-particle PM2.5 modeling) and your drinking water (10%, the EPA health-based violation record of the water system that actually serves your address). When a factor isn't available for your ZIP — say you're on a private well — the others rebalance, so you're never penalized for a data gap. Your result is your national percentile against ~18,000 US ZIP codes.

Built from a proprietary index of 1,000,000+ verified locations (2026), the EPA National Walkability Index, CDC air-quality modeling (2021), and EPA SDWIS drinking-water violations — tap water matched to your area through your utility's mapped service-area boundary, not just your ZIP.
