THE GREENEST SAYS:
Fountain of Health Skin Soothing CBD Oil Salve seems very similar to the “Muscle Salve-ation.” Even the ingredient list is remarkably similar. But it’s not the exact same product. Instead of making your muscles feel better, this is more for skin ailments. Sunburns, cat scratches, bug bites will all be helped with a nice soothing topical. Do you get a lot of cat scratches? Can you tell I have cats? Anyway, this is the same full-spectrum hemp extract we’ve come to trust from Fountain of Health. Same price as the Muscle Salvation as well, so I trust the value. – Willy Christie
WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?
It’s a topical that’s infused with full spectrum CBD hemp extract. The non-CBD ingredients are there to help skin that’s having the problems skin usually has.
WHO IS THIS Fountain of Health Skin Soothing CBD Oil Salve FOR?
It’s a skin salve. Or a cream. Or a topical. Essentially it’s whatever word you want to use. We can never tell the difference between a salve or a balm or a cream. And we can never be bothered enough to look it up. We’re assuming you’ve been around long enough to know what skin salves are for. These are always great to have in the back of your medicine cabinet when mosquito season arrives. And if you wish your other skin salves had a little extra CBD, this is the perfect product for you.
And since it is infused with full spectrum hemp CBD is has all the cannabinoids for your endocannabinoid system. Which means it contains CBG, CBC, THC and CBN – in addition to CBD. And those cannabinoids give your endocannabinoid system — which helps regulate chronic pain, metabolism and your immune system – a little boost. At least that’s what the anecdotal evidence seems to suggest. (The FDA has not approved CBD to prevent, treat or cure any disease or ailment.) But in addition to the cannabinoids, full spectrum products also contain terpenes, phytonutrients and antioxidants.
Since this is a topical, we’re not sure how much of the phytonutrients and antioxidants will make it into your bloodstream. Just an FYI.
HOW MUCH CBD IS IN THIS PRODUCT?
The one ounce version has 500mgs of full spectrum hemp CBD. The two ounce version has 1,000mgs of the same CBD. We’re not great at math, but we’re pretty sure the two ounces version has twice as much CBD.
WILL THIS Fountain of Health Skin Soothing CBD Oil Salve GET YOU HIGH?
No. Just as long as you don’t act like some maniac and use an ungodly amount. And honestly, I don’t even know if you’d feel anything if you rubbed the whole jar all over your tongue (don’t do that.) But this has less than 0.3% THC and it’s a topical, so this won’t make you high. But use the recommended dosage anyway.
HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU TAKE?
Rub a dime-sized (or less) amount of this hemp infused topical on a small part of your skin to make sure you don’t have any unknown allergies. If you’re not breaking out in some freakish hives or rash, then you should be A-OK to use this product as desired.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BECOME EFFECTIVE?
The non-CBD ingredients take effect pretty quickly. Just like any other salve or cream. The CBD, on the other hand, always takes a while to really start doing its job. We like to point out that there’s a reason there are no “one-day clinical trials.”
IS THIS Fountain of Health Skin Soothing CBD Oil Salve LEGAL?
Totally and completely. The 2018 Farm Bill made CBD products that contain less than 0.3% THC federally legal. So you’re good to buy this online.
IS THIS PRODUCT TESTED AND CERTIFIED?
Fountain of Health is great about posting the lab results for all their products. And they make them easy to find on their site. We we, as reviewers, really appreciate.
