We usually are big fans of Green Roads. They have a solid backstory. (They were founded by a pharmacist.) But if we’re being honest, these Green Roads CBD Relax Bears fall a little short in our book. First off, they are just isolate. Which is OK if you’re a newbie to the CBD world and might be a little shy about consuming THC. Isolate CBD has no other cannabinoids, no THC or terpenes or phytonutrients. It’s just pure CBD. But we tend to opt for broad or full spectrum products since those give your endocannabinoid system the entourage effect. That’s where all the cannabinoids work together to create something that is greater than when they are just on their own.
Secondly, this has corn syrup. We aren’t always huge sticklers for making sure everything is super organic and natural. But we like to see better ingredients than corn syrup and whatever FD&C Yellow #6 is. (It’s a dye.) But the other bummer is the price. Especially for isolate. This bottle gives you less than 7mgs of CBD per dollar. That’s pretty steep for full spectrum. It also has gelatin so it’s not vegan. The flavor is good. But all those factors make it hard for use to recommend it.
