We’re big fans of Green Roads products at The Greenest. They make high-quality, third-party tested products with great ingredients. But when it comes to CBD coffee, we have a couple bones to pick. First, there’s a general consensus that CBD starts to lose some of its effectiveness when heated. And hot coffee is…hot. So we would suggest using this for a cold brew to max out the effect of the CBD in this Green Roads Founder’s Blend Hemp Coffee.

Second, they don’t make it easy to figure out the type of CBD that’s infused into the coffee beans. According to the Certificate of Analysis, there’s some CBG in here, so we’re going to guess it’s a little bit of Broad Spectrum mixed with Isolate. Either way, we’ll give Green Roads the benefit of the doubt. Given their track record, feel free to give this a shot as a cold brew for a week if you’re looking to add a little CBD to your morning mug. – Ben Ramirez

Green Roads Founder’s Blend Hemp Coffee contains approximately 9.67mg of CBD per serving. The exact amount of CBD varies by each batch, but that 9.67mg is a good ballpark.

WILL GREEN ROADS FOUNDER’S BLEND HEMP COFFEE GET YOU HIGH?

No. Because this high-quality CBD coffee only has trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3%), it is not enough to produce a high. So feel free to opt for that third (or fourth) cup. You’ll feel more coffee jitters than anything related to a cannabis “high.”

HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU TAKE?

It is recommended that you use 2 tablespoons of coffee for every 6 ounces of water or adjust to your personal preference.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BE EFFECTIVE?

Green Roads CBD coffee can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 4 hours before any effects are felt. But everyone is different. And it may take 2-3 weeks, according to our Dr. Neil Shah, to start to actively feel the effects of any CBD product. Start slow and work your way up. But as we mentioned at the top of this review, be sure to only use this as a cold brew. Heating up the coffee can denigrate the CBD.

IS THIS PRODUCT LEGAL?

Yes. Products containing less than the legal limit of 0.3%, are legal in all 50 states. In fact, because this coffee has zero THC, it is not only legal, it falls within the same category as fish oil supplements and any other vitamins.

IS GREEN ROADS FOUNDER’S BLEND HEMP COFFEE TESTED AND CERTIFIED?

Green Roads obtains all their CBD extracts from hemp plants grown on farms in the United States. As well, each product has been tested by third-party laboratories for purity and quality. You can check the results of this test via a QR code on the package.
