CBDfx Berry CBD Chill Shot is a cool idea up front, but the price is a little high. Ideal for unwinding at the end of a long day, the Berry CBD Chill shot includes 20mg of CBD. The description says full-spectrum, the product FAQ says broad-spectrum, and the test results show only CBD. A closer look at the ingredients is a little confusing as well. Artificial sweeteners, chemicals, and cbd-rich hemp extract. I don’t see why they couldn’t have gone a more natural route for this one, so I’d be a little averse to trying this one. Add in the meager 2mg per $1 and I’m gonna have to pass. – Willy Christie
What is the Berry CBD Chill Shot?
The Berry CBD Chill Shot is a full spectrum beverage made by CBDfx. In addition to the cannabinoids, the drink contains several nutrients and minerals for additional health benefits. This includes 200 mg of L-Theanine, an amino acid often found in Green Tea. The beverage is also 100 percent organic. L-Theanine is having a moment, as Pepsi just launched their own functional beverage called Driftwell with it.
How Much CBD is in it?
One bottle contains 20 mg of what is either isolate or broad spectrum CBD. Since the label’s are saying conflicting things about their hemp extract, we’re not totally sure what type of CBD in in here. And we don’t like that.
Will This Drink Get You High?
No. The drink is an isolate CBD product (we think!), meaning it does contain additional cannabinoids including THC. However, the amount of THC is not enough to produce any psychoactive effects in consumers.

One bottle is considered one serving size. So CBDfx thinks you should drink one.
How Long Will it Take to be Effective?
Drinking CBD generally takes 30 minutes to an hour to start feeling effects. But everyone is effected by CBD differently. Anyone who tells you that you will feel anything from CBD in a specific amount of time is just trying to sell you something. Well, everyone who has a CBD product is trying to sell you something. But we just mean that…you know what we mean.

Will This Drink Cause You to Fail a Drug Test?
It is very, very unlikely. The amount of THC in this beverage is less than 0.3%, and would likely not show up on a drug test. But it is not 100 percent foolproof.
Is This Product Legal?
Yes. While the beverage does contain THC, it is less than 0.3%, meaning it is legal in all 50 states.
Is This Berry CBD Chill Shot Tested and Certified?
Yes. CBDfx tests all of their products and posts the results on their website. CBDfx was also a part of a lab test run by Leafly in 2019. They found that CBDfx accurately labeled the amount of CBD and THC in their products. The Greenest always tries to find additional third party lab results in all products we review.
