Nordic Oil is one of the fastest growing CBD brands on the market. They seem to be everywhere we look these days. But is that a good thing? They are a European-based company that has positioned themselves as a premium hemp brand. And Nordic Oil CBD products are trying to bring all those wonderfully cool and worldly European sensibilities to the North American CBD market. So what do the Europeans know about growing hemp that we don’t? And why are American customers flocking toward this brand? Let’s dig in.
Company Overview
Nordic Oil CBD is a European company that was founded in 2018. They have headquarters in Munich, Germany, and New York City. Although a young company, Nordic Oil CBD has grown rapidly and is now available in three continents. Making it one of the largest and widespread CBD brands available.
One major benefit of the global nature of this brand is that information is available in 12 languages. Making it easier for people to read and learn more about CBD in their native language. The company also has dedicated online shops for the UK and the US.
What products do they make?
Nordic Oil has an impressive variety of products.
These include:
- Capsules
- Oils
Review: Nordic Oil CBD Oil - Topicals
- Concentrates
- E-liquids
- Pet products
- CBG extracts
- Vitamins
- Crystals
These products, which are mostly unflavored, are available in CBD isolate, broad-spectrum and full-spectrum forms. Some products are combined with other beneficial extracts like curcumin or melatonin to enhance specific purposes like anti-inflammation or better sleep. They also have some interesting innovative products like their multivitamin liquid CBD. If you’re in Europe, you can access even more Nordic Oil products, such as their cosmetics line.
An interesting new addition to their range is their CBG extract products. Cannabigerol (CBG) is a cannabinoid that is becoming more popular with unique benefits. While research on CBG is in its early stages, the compound is potentially helpful for a range of health issues.
What is the quality of Nordic Oil products?
Nordic Oil uses fair-trade, organically grown, non-GMO hemp to create its CBD. The plants are sourced from hemp farms in Europe and subject to stringent European agricultural regulations. They use the CO2 extraction method to make their products, one of the more common methods of extraction. But also not the best method of extraction, in our opinion.
The products all undergo third-party lab testing and their certificates of analysis (COAs) are available on their product page online. The website also lists the full ingredient list is also available on the product page.
The products don’t contain any artificial chemicals, flavors, or additives. The carrier oils used in the products are MCT oil and hemp seed oil. Hemp seed oil has numerous benefits, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and carries some of the plant’s natural taste. MCT oil is also a beneficial oil in that it has a high rate of absorption. Which means your body will be able to absorb more CBD than any other carrier oil.

Do they make safe products?
The third-party lab testing is done regularly and the COAs available online are all recent, with dates including tests done within the past six months. The COAs are comprehensive, and they include testing for CBD potency and the full cannabinoid profile. The tests also indicate that the products don’t contain undesirable contaminants like pesticides, residual solvents, and heavy metals.
One thing to note, they don’t make it super easy to find the lab results on their site.
Which means that all Nordic Oil CBD products are formulated for your endocannabinoid system. What’s your endocannabinoid system you ask? Well, it helps regulate and keep your immune system, metabolism and a handful of other things in balance. All the helpful endocannabinoids in their broad spectrum and full spectrum CBD products work together for the to create the entourage effect.
Where do they source their CBD?
Nordic Oil sources its CBD extracts from European hemp, although they don’t specify the exact region.
What is their brand ethos?
Nordic Oil’s goal is to become a leading brand for CBD supplements. They state that their priority is customer satisfaction, not only with the product but also, by placing a strong emphasis on offering world-class service.
The company appears to have a strong environmentalist ethos and has a Nordic Earth Project. They work with the non-profit ReSea Project, an organization that cleans plastic from the ocean and is working towards a vision of a plastic-free ocean. Nordic Earth recently committed to cleaning a specific amount of plastic per number of sales. They also plan to launch new eco-based initiatives in the future.
What are people on the web saying about Nordic Oil CBD?
Reviews of Nordic Oil are overwhelmingly positive. On TrustPilot, Nordic Oil has an average rating of 4.8/5, with 88% of reviewers giving them an “excellent.” Many reviewers comment especially on the brand’s efficient service and delivery times.
One reviewer, Virgil Hutton, was impressed with the product, although it was expensive, “Very pricey (but CBD oil always is), but it’s great stuff. No side effects (other than good ones.)” And it “helped with a fractured vertebra, and to replace painkillers.”
Would we recommend Nordic Oil CBD to a friend?
Yes! Nordic Oil CBD products seem to carry the quality they promise. Reviews from customers and journalists are overall positive. And it’s obvious that these products are well-loved by CBD users around the world. Many find the customer service to be efficient and appreciate the various languages available.
We’re not totally sure if they are that much different than a lot of CBD brands in the United States. It seems like they are leaning into their Euro-roots to give their brand a chic-yet-rustic identity. We see that with a lot of beauty brands. And that’s OK! Branding goes a long way to how a product makes us feel. (Whether we want to admit that or not.)
They make safe products that appear to check all the boxes. And if this branding makes more people open to CBD, then we’re all for it.
Their pricing may be high, but most users appear to find them valuable. Customers in Europe will luckily have access to the whole available range of products. While those in the US may have more limited options. However, there are still plenty of high-quality items to choose from.
