THE GREENEST SAYS:

Did the Vikings add a little CBD to their morning cup of mead? We’re going to go ahead and assume they didn’t. But that’s because they didn’t exist during a time when we could grow hemp and extract its wonderful cannabinoids, put them in a bottle with fancy packaging and sell them online. But luckily you do exist in that time. Hooray! Anyway, let’s talk about this Nordic Oil CBD oil. The Nordic Oil brand checks a lot of the boxes we like to check. They test their hemp-based products and post their lab results on their site. Their oils are simple, with just two ingredients. They’re vegan. And while they aren’t USDA-certified organic, they do claim to use organic practices. And this oil is a nice little value. We’re big fans of the branding, too.

We do have two bones to pick. Our first bone to pick has to do with their lab results. They say this is a full spectrum CBD hemp plant extract, which usually contains some tiny amount of THC. But their results say there’s none detectable. Maybe that’s just the way their labs describe trace amounts? Not a big deal, as we see all the other helpful cannabinoids like CBG and CBC. Our second bone to pick is we’d like to see where they source their CBD. So this is made from industrial hemp oils. Not the worst thing, but we always like to see a little more bespoke sourcing of hemp extract. Other than that this is a high quality CBD.

WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?

It’s a fractionated coconut oil (MCT) that’s infused with full spectrum (or maybe just broad spectrum) CBD. Put a drop or two under your tongue. Let it sit there for 20 seconds. Swallow the oil. Put the dropper back in the bottle. Put the bottle on the shelf. Think about how wonderful it is to be alive and then go about your day. Note: Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT) is a common ingredient in CBD oils. Don’t let that freak you out if you’ve never heard of it.

If you’re new to CBD, then let us give you a little lesson in why we like full-spectrum hemp products. First, you get the entourage effect from all the helpful other cannabinoids. When they work together they help your endocannabinoid system stay in homeostasis. What does that mean? Well, your endocannabinoid system helps you regulate and balance everything from your immune system, metabolism, fight or flight issues and all that stuff. That’s why people think it can help provide a calming effect, help support anxiety and even things like arthritis and joint pain relief. We do need more research on how CBD and the other cannabinoids (like CBG, CBC and CBN) effect it.

Product Review: Goldthread Tonics Turmeric Radiance

WHO IS THIS Nordic Oil CBD Oil FOR?

Anyone looking to add a high quality CBD oil to their regimen. This oil isn’t formulated for any specific ailment. But it’s more for the general wellness that those who love CBD feel after they’ve incorporated it into their routine for a while. It’s also for people who think brands from Europe are automatically better than brands from the United States. (Nordic Oil started in Europe and moved here.) And if their Instagram is any indication, Nordic Oil is also for people who like to hold up little bottles while smiling. But we will agree that American customers are becoming fans of Nordic Oil according to our data.

HOW MUCH CBD IS IN THIS PRODUCT?

This 30ml bottle has 1,000 mgs of CBD. Nordic Oil recommends 17mgs per dose. Which means there’s about 60 doses in each bottle. We had to use the calculator on our phone to figure that out. They also offer 500 mg and 2,000 mg options if those feel more your speed.

WILL THIS Nordic Oil CBD Oil GET YOU HIGH?

No. Even though it says it’s full spectrum we don’t see any THC in here. But, that doesn’t mean there is absolutely zero THC. So for anyone asking about drug tests, no one can say for certain that this won’t cause you to show up positive on any drug test. The chances are VERY slim. And if anyone asks you can just show them the Nordic Oil bottle and blame them.

HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU TAKE?

They say 17mgs per dose. If you’re just starting out, we always suggest a little less to make sure this is right for you. Try a half a dropper before going for a full dose. If that feels like a good, then move on up like The Jeffersons. (We realize that joke may only work on a certain age demographic.)

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BECOME EFFECTIVE?

This is where we tend to annoy people. (Well, we annoy people a lot, but we just mean in our reviews.) You won’t feel like a million bucks 10 minutes after you take a CBD oil. We always like to point out that it takes 2-4 weeks for CBD to become fully effective and do it’s thing inside your cells for the calming effect and pain relief. And that’s not us saying that, it’s scientists! They never do one-day trials. They always measure CBD effectiveness over weeks. So sit back, relax and have a little patience.

Also Read: Is Nano CBD even real?

Yes it is. The 2018 Farm Bill made all CBD products with less than 0.3% THC federally legal. And since this has almost none (if any) it falls in that category. You can buy this online. Try it now by hitting the Buy button up top.

IS THIS PRODUCT TESTED AND CERTIFIED?

As we mentioned, they post their lab results on their site for the whole world to see. We’d like to hear from them on our THC question. But other than that we like to see their full transparency when it comes to their labs.
