Ben Ramirez

As the founder of Opia Coffee, Ben is combining two of his favorite passions (cannabis and coffee.) In addition to Opia, he also founded Gorilla Arm Coffee, which provided free cups of coffee to essential workers during the pandemic -- all delivered by a very long gorilla arm -- and was featured on ABC News, CNN, Fox News, NPR, Buzzfeed and many others.

In his non-cannabis coffee life, Ben has 20 years of design & creative experience building some of the most noteworthy products, teams, and brands in tech. After a stint at advertising giant McCann Worldgroup working on global brands like Microsoft, he jumped into the fast paced world of startups. With a passion for clean, smart branding, combined with the creation and iteration of compelling products, Ben has helped many companies graduate from ideas into mature brands that people love. He brings a comprehensive business point of view that includes product design, experience design, user experience research, team management, company culture, brand development, and content strategy. More than anything, he genuinely loves working with great people and bringing interesting products and experiences to the world.
